Do you have a stack of books you're "currently reading" or are you normal? I swear, since I was younger I can never just be reading one book. I need a few on hand so I can choose what I want to read depending on my mood, the day's events or how deep I want to get.
What I'm reading:
1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson // I love this book, I first read it back in college. I had a million things going on and so I didn't get a chance to read it until that morning before class - from start to finish. I think because of that, it felt a bit like binge watching a show: all consuming in plot and characters, you are a part of it. I pick up this book when its nice outside and I want to pretend I'm driving around the desert soaking in all the wild and craziness around me.
2. Grand Union: Stories by Zadie Smith // This is my first time reading this book and I am partial to short stories. I love how short stories just end. They wrap you up in it for a few pages, paragraphs even, and then just stop abruptly and leave you wanting more. I pick up this when I want to read something new and exciting.
3. Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers by Leonard Koren // This book is deep, so I gravitate to this one when I want to settle in for a longer period of time and really think and learn something. I can't be tired or distracted to read something of this depth, so this is perfect for when I want to feel present.

Do you chose certain books for particular days? What books are on your summer to-read list?
