The Story Behind El Sol: EL SOL is a workshop project between two old friends, Wilee Roberts of Hampui Hats and Ben Goorin of Goorin Bros., passionate about hats. They come together one Sunday each month in Wilee's workshop in Berkely, California to make something extraordinary for the moment. The Details: The hat body is made and blocked in Bolivia. The trims and bands are added in Berkley, CA by Willee. Additionally, the hatband is woven by hand and sourced by Willee on a trip to Peru
Why We Love It: This style was inspired by a bed of roses. The woven hat band with the pink and natural elements, paired with the bright contrasting yellow edge binding against navy dyed wool, makes this style romantic and sweet to look at.
